Founded in 1909, the club has grown to be one of the best courses in the UK. Because of its popularity it is essential to book. Mens Yardage 6160 Par 69, Ladies Yardage 5535 Par 72.
Sailing
Babbacombe Corinthian Sailing Club Tel 01803 311253 (Evenings only) Founded back in 1935, the Sailing club has grown from strength to strength. The Beach Club House, being Based on Oddicombe Beach, offers a variety of sailing. Their present fleetcomprises of 14 Tasars and is continuing to grow in this class. They also have Kestrels and Toppers which are used for training and "learn to sail" programmes. The Club Headquarters can be found in Fore Street,St.Marychurch.
Acorn Youth, Community & Sports Complex, Lummaton Cross Tel 01803 328819 Started as a youth club in 1965, the centre boasts a multi-purpose sports hall with a Granwood sprung floor. Many community activities during the week. The Acorn Centre is a registered charity.
Swim Torquay or Plainmoor Swimming Pool Tel 01803 323400 A charity registered in 1977, Swim Torquay caters for the local Swimming clubs, schools and general public in their 25 metre pool. The pool provides "learn to swim" sessions as groups, or individually, and the clubs which use the pool also cater for all aspects of swimming tuition. The pool isavailable for private hire, including birthday parties.

Operating as a high quality recreational diving training establishment Since 1997, Divers Down has been awarded PADI¹s (Professional Association ofDiving Instructors) 5 star Instructor Development Centre status and is able to teach up to Master Instructor. Torbay¹s only IDC Centre offersprofessional training, high quality equipment for use, hire and for sale, servicing of major brands such as Apeks and Scubapro, air & nitrox fills and a fully stocked dive shop. Torquay United had been a member of the Football League for 80 years,
until they were relegated to the Conference for the first time in their history in 2006/7. They quickly came back into the league in 2009/10 and came close to being promoted last season. They started this season badly when they went on a run of eight games without a win in September and October but they have come back stronger than ever this year and in early March are in the play-off places. Come on the Gulls!
